My hotpoint aquarius wd440 washing machine - flashing lights ?

After washing cycle had finished removed some of the washing and selected the drying option. The reduce creases, time saver and on and off buttons all started rapidly flashing. Washer will not pump water out. We have cleared the large filter with the ball in it at the bottom of the drum. Washer has to be turned off at the mains as it will not turn of at the button. Seems to be getting hotter and hotter. Have turned it off at the mains HELP !

Hi i have a hotpoint aquarius wd440 14000 spin i have flashing lights on the on off and on the drying heat. It is a washer dryer .but I never use the dryer. can somebody please tell me what's

I believe your issue is a blocked/clogged water drain. If your unit appears to drain all of the water at the end of the cycle, you may just need to clean your filter. The machine can sense when it takes too long to drain and it flashes those particular lights to let you know what the problem is.

First of all try cleaning the filter inside the back as described by others if this does not work there is a filter in the top. how you clean this is quite easy. all you do is remove the top of the machine by undoing the 2 screws at the back then pull top top backwards when you have removed the top you well see a large metal casing on the left if you are looking from the the back of the machine the filter is in there to remove the casing you pull the small pipe off then undo 5 star headed screws then gently pull the casing off noteing that there is a large pipe at the front when you have remover the casing you will see the filter (the small pipe you removed at the start fits on this filter) clean the filter then put it all back together.

Hotpoint Aquarius WD440 Error

Remove the white plastic cover on the back near the bottom. To the right as you look at it their will be a black concertina pipe with a hose clip on its top edge. Undo this and pull the pipe downwards to reveal the filter. There will be a plastic ball inside (which is supposed to be there) remove this and clear out the cr*p.

Re-assemble as removal.

That should fix it
