Question about Dyna-Glo (PPH16-LP) Utility Heater

Dyna-glo rmi-80ngt. cuts off fire no rhyme or reason to it may stay lit for 2 hrs or 10 hrs but gas does not shut off

Have a dyna-glo Model # RMI-80NGT serial # 8NT8 001387 30,000 btus ANSIZ21.112-1996. unvented heater that I use in my family room I thought the Thermo coupler was bad but I can not find anywhere to purchase a replacement I have cleaned it out and removed any carbon build up that may be on it. I do not know where to go from here please help thanks in advace

MAKE SURE THERE IS AMPLE FRESH AIR IN THE ROOM, SOME MODELS ARE MADE TO NOT LIGHT IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FRESH AIR. RON G.

If it is a few years old, it could be the thermocouple. These are usually available from Lowes. Take your model/serial # and if you can, take the old part too.

I have a RMI-70LP Dyna-Glo 18,000 btu unvented room heater. Can it be converted to natural gas?


These can be converted by changing the orface on the heater and also the regulator. Best to contact your gas company or Dyna Glo to obtain the correct orface for that particular heater.

Flame is way too high on pilot . blocked injector or hole on injector is too big . Being sucked off by main burner .
