I recently went to my first ever live gig and took my pictures and video clips with my Vivitar vivicam 4100. The pics were all brilliant as were the video however i was upset to find that audio on the video was totally gone. the sound was jumping very very badly and you could hardly hear the songs. In a few clips for a few seconds the sound is good but as soon as the music kicks it got really bad. Can anyone help?

- Thanks. I had feeling had to do with the surroundings and how close i was. It's not the first time its happened. Once i was in my friends car and was recording while the cd player was on and the sound crackled on that. also when i was recording outdoors or in a crowded place. Doh!
I the band I went to see that night was The Goo Goo Dolls. Brilliant concert! Pure amazing!
Your digital camera is not a professional recording device. A live gig, especially indoors, or if you're close to the stage, means very high decibels, and you need something more serious if you really want to hear it later.
You should get a recording device that can tune to different sensitivities. My old mini disc was great for this before it died. You also need a decent mic.
Better luck next time! who was performing btw?

- Too bad you couldn't get the sound... ;] I just bought a mic for a concert that I thought was yesterday, and it turned out to be next month when I'm out of the frikin country. Get things ready before the next one if sound is important for you. take care !

When I turn my camera on the screen will often fuzz up and then the screen will just go white. I'm still able to take pictures normally and upload them. So I'm not sure.
