From the main menu, select "Setting" then "Security" then "Lock Side Keys"
If you don't know the unlock code, try the last 4 digits of you phone number, or 1234, or 0000. If you need to reset you unlock code (to the last 4 digits of your phone number) call *228 and wait about a minute for it to reprogram/reset you phone code.

good Luck!

How do i turn off keypad volume

My service provider couldn't even help me with this! So in case no one has answered this yet ,,, to turn off the key pad tones (very annoying sound) select menu>settings>profiles, then with 'normal' selected, hit the 'options' key (upper left soft key), then 'customize'- set up your audio profile the way you want it - go down the list til you come to 'key volume' and turn that all the way down with either the side control or the navigator dial. That will turn off those annoying key tones so you will bother other less while you use your phone in public.
Hope that helps.

Voice command turn off?

Voice command is activated by the side button that is alone (right side if your facing the phone's screen) when the phone is closed. I don't know how to prevent the phone from doing that, but I do know how to make sure the phone does not say "Please say a command."

Menu
Settings and Tools (Far right icon)
Tools (#2 on the list)
Voice Commands (#1 on the list)
Hit settings, which is going to be the right bumper button (above the CLR key)
Go to prompts (#5 on the list)
Mode (#1 on the list)
It will be currently set on prompts, which is why it says "Please say a command." You can either set it to readout or tones only. Tones produces a short beep. Readouts only displays text (no noises). Being that you have your phone on silent, I assume you want readouts.

That will at least prevent stop the phone from making random statements in your pocket. Hope this helps.
