Question about Brother XR7700
Hi i have brother xr 7700 US model sewing machine, i brought to UK. i plugged in via step-down plug (220-240v in/ 120-140v out). But it just made a spark and not work now. I have opened the machine and found that the power pcb has blown(part no:CX07524D)specially partsF101,C101andL101. i do not have multimeter to check if anyone of them is open circuit.i like to change the whole board insted of parts and i wonder if 220-240v part is available insted of 120-140v as in the machine?? if the answer is yes where can i get it from in uk or us? any sites or phone nos. appriciated.
if i can't then where can i get 120-140v board? thanks
change the power chord of your pedal, if not, open the pedal and look for the connection if that is cut or loose try to tight or connect it.

If you look at the Brother global site, there may be a dealer nearby in Middle East, or certainly in Europe, ...the power plug fitting may then need adapter or replacing to suit socket in SA
Do you have family/friends in the "old country" who could send you one ?

Testimonial: "I have a mailbox that forwards to the Middle East and where I am staying is all 110V. So it is quite possible that I'll have to ship one from the USA."
If you have any problems with sewing machines with electronic boards or if the machine is computerised it is wise to take it to a specialist for repair.
