Generally you don't need to know jumper settings in newer motherboards. What you may be referring to is the front panel i/o connector. This has the power switch, reset switch, power LED, hdd LED, and etc.

To download the motherboard manual, please go to http://download.aopen.com.tw/userdownload_List.aspx?RecNo=6027&Model=435

Hope this helps!

Interface seagate barracuda 7200.7 200GB drive sata to usb 2 forum

Hello. You are correct that there are no jumpers, however, when you connected the SATA cable to the Internal hard drive, did you notice there were two similar connectors. One was for the SATA the other, longer one is for the POWER for the drive. If your SATA to USB has both connectors make sure they are both installed properly. Be careful you don't break those little plastic tabs because they are not warrantied. If the drive does have power and spins up then it may not be initialized (formatted) and will need to be initialized using START, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management. or just click on start and type diskmgmt.msc in the RUN box.
Hope this helps..

I am trying to power a bathroom fan and lite combonation from a GFCI that is located in the next room. I've taken power from the load side of the receptical , why won't it work ? Is it because all...

If you have a GFCI recepticle with 8 holes in the back. hook your fan to the two holes on the "line" side. If you don't have four holes to use tail, join the line wires, with a tail to hook to the line side of the recepticle. This way you have a direct power to the fan and protected circuit to the recepticles.. Make sure your connections are good. If using the "holes" make sure you tighten with a screw driver and not just a screw gun.

The battery in the remote might have went dead. Call a few auto parts stores and see if any are able to fix it. If they aren't then they will know who can.

Blank screen on desktop (dell inspiron 530s); requesting a password.

Someone has turned on the BIOS password on you and therefore the PC will not let you boot up unless you enter the correct password. The problem is you cannot turn off the password option unless you know the password. I would start by asking other people who had access to you computer what they set the password to. If nobody comes clean, then you will have to call Dell Tech Support to get them to reset the password for you. They will give you a master BIOS password to override the one set and turn off the option.
