Re: when I scan ,refer to device doc to troubleshoot .!...
Is it giving you a message as NO SCAN OPTIONS in the front panel of your All-In-One...?
If yes and if the software is insatlled sucessfully in you computer then try the steps mentioned bellow.
If the software is not installed then you will have to install the software for your All-In-One First.
And If the software is successfully installed in your computer, then you should have a icon in your desktop as HP Solution /HP Director (if not got to Start> All Programs> HP> HP Solution Center)/HP Director Then try scanning from there, if you are able to scan from there then try the steps bellow. Open solution center> Settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Then in this window click on Restore defaults> Then apply or ok and close all the windows and try to scan from the All-In-One printer. If it still does not work then try the bellow steps: Go to: My computer>C:windows>system32 Copy hpzipm12 minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:>windows>system32 Copy hpzinw12 minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin> Copy hpqtra08 close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button> check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination Tried to scan.

take all the cable
press an hold the power button for 60sec and power it on
or u can try a semi ful reset by pressing and holding the # and 6 button togehther disconect the power cable and connect the power cable and while the printer is turning on release the #and 6
For receiving a fax, its not necessary that you should have a dedicated fax line. But in case you are using a voice mail over the same phone line in which you receive faxes, it may interrupt it.
So its recommended to use a Distinctive Ring Pattern, which will be provided by your phone vendor.
However before trying it try to do a power drain in printer. To do a power drain, you need to dixconnect the printer for power connection, leave it for few minutes than replug it.
Else try a reset on the printer, try to unplug the power cable, press and hold # and 6 on the pritner while power cable is unplugged , and than while holding the # and 6 button replug the power cable back to unit. It will reset the printer to factory defaults. This should work....
unplug the power cord, open the access printer door move the carriage manually and press and hold the ON button for 1 min and release the button and plug the power cord, it should resolve the issue.
go to the section "Moving the carriage" turn on printer and then unplug power. If you still cant move the carrage then remove both toner cartridge and all the trays. Then completely disconnect printer and stand it upright (so paper feed and cartridge tray is on top) Look thru the paper feed area to the left side of toner carrage and you will see a little plastic tab around the bottom back of the carrage. That tab is suppose to be inside a track on the bottom of the carrage. I think that when we put in or took out toner we must have pushed it to hard and that piece jumped out of the track and has "locked" the carrage. I just pushed the carrage up carefully and used a letter opener to move the plastic tab back into place (tab is spring loaded) print working fine now. Hope this solves your problem
You can try resetting the printer.
Step 1. Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer while the printer is still on
Step 2. Press and hold the # and 6 button on the printer while the power cord is disconnected. And keep holdig the two buttons until you plug in the power back again.
Note : do not release the # and 6 when you plug the power cord back in. keep holding the two buttons until the printer would turn on then turn off or the printer would say anything about "reset"
Step 3. Try sending a fax after the successful reset of the printer
issue with carrage , try cleaning ink carrage .
*unplug the power cable and press and hold power button for 1 min
*press and hold # and 6 , while holding # and 6 plug the power cable back in
*release the button after 10 sec
