LCD Monitor should display 1280 by 1024, but only... (by 2 users)

LCD Monitor should display 1280 by 1024, but only 640 by 480 and 16 colors avlbl. in control panel/display/settings. i've tried everything imaginable-virus removal,reinstalling drivers, (there is no driver available for my monitor's model) . Any ideas out there? And i also reinstalled windows98se.out of options, help me....

settings at 1024 X 768 LOW (8bit) Control palnel display settings offer no changes

WizYou should try to update the driver for the display adapter, not the monitor.
right click my computer>hardware tab>device manager
if anything, that should be it.
You like staying with win 98?

Samsung Syncmaster 710M 17in LCD resolution was shown 1280 by 1024, but only 640 by 480 and 60(Hz) problem. What is the solution.

We are using your product compaq systems of our hospital services(ST.Theresa's hospital, Rajajinagar) Bangalore. At present we facing the Monitor Adjustment problem. It is not taking the adjustments which i tried, where should i get the monitor servicing People for ur product. My e-mail address is
