Hopefully you may be able to help me with my "no data" problem on my NW-E507. Even though I have formatted the device correctly, upgrade the software successfully to version 2 from Sony's website, I still cannot play music as it has the "no data" on the display. When I cannect via the USB, it shows the Mp3 file on there. Can you offer some help as this is getting annoying. I have emailed Sony's helpdesk but they have not replying. If you know any good websites that could offer an answer, please advise.
Kind regards. TalalSrilanka Emailfirstname.lastname@example.org

Does the music you had on it before you downloaded the new stuff work still? Try converting the music into Mp3 files, or restoring the id tags if they already are mp3 files (just rename it the same thing and add .mp3 at the end)
If nothing works, reformat your player and then try again.
Hi, First of all formate your MP3 player through built-in format option of the player, remember dont try to format it through PC. then by using software provided with the MP3 copy songs of your choice and past in your player with the help of software, also don't copy and paste directly from PC to MP3. This will solve your problem. Thanks for using fixya.
you are not supposed to tranfer files via sonicstage or just copy mp3 you should be able to browse the mp3player as drive and in 1 of it's folder you will see a program which is used to transfer your file and it converts them to the file the player can read.
nwe003f is not a standard mp3 player. It plays mp3 files, but firstly they must be converted to another format (omg). I think that this is not typical conversion- some tags are added and that's why player plays mp3 files and shows the bitrate on screen but those mp3s are not mp3s :) Download sonic stage and the problem will b solved. Best wishes in 2k8 year :)
