I have a Sears Kenmore elite washer modle 11024952300 the first sign of problems was it would sometimes not spin, this I could correct by reaching into the tub and turn a little by hand then close the lid. then it would not spin out so we could run through 2 spin cycles and get the water out of the cloths. Now it woun't get up to high speed it runs at a low spin to middle speed, will not get up to high. this causes the water to remain in the cloths any ideas. I had an appliance business and worked on washers in the 80's and 90's, I'm not a novis, but I'm not up on the new stuff with direct drive and all the circuit board controls.

F2 mean that you have a drainage problem and could be that the pump is clogged. I believe the pump can be accessed from the front of the washer. Also make sure electrical connections are secure. Make sure no hoses are clogged or kinked anywhere.
there's no belt in the kenmore washers, they have a motor coupling.take out the two screws that hold the top console down.flip up the console it's on hindges, next with a screw driver pop the two metal clips and unplug the lid switch harness that's in between the metal clips, then open the lid and grab the frame, pull the frame to you and up and remove the whole frame.on the bottom you'll see the pump, with a screw driver pop the two metal clips and slide off the pump.take out the two screws and pop the metal clips and slide off the motor.on the back of the motor you'll find the coupling broke,it sounds like alot of work but it takes around 20 minutes to do
its possible you have a bad clutch assy, or perahps something stuck between the outer and ineer tub(i.e. sock) preventing free spin of unit, the clutch is mounted on top of the transmission assy and requires a little bit of work to acess, im sure you can find a video on you tube as to how to acess that
We have the 11020092991, same washer. Ours has had all kinds of problems. We kept renewing our extended warranty and finally in August 2007, Sears concurred and called it a lemon and gave us credit for a new washer.
