Question about Hitachi 43GX01B 43" Rear Projection Television

Half Pictur During a storm our tv obtained a pink wave like line at the top and only the top portion of the tv has a double image. When I change the input the top left idenification numbers are slanted and overlap each other. What can I do and will it be worth it??

Sounds like theres an upper area convergence problem and the only way your gonna get this fixed is with a pro assiting you with this repair as there really are no user serviceable parts in this set. This repair could be a major replacement of the convergence ICs or capacitors . Complaints that occour during a storm are non common as anything can and does happen.Sorry could\'nt be of more assistance. Good Luck 1.888.426.5214 for the factory service peeps

That symptoms are due to failure of convergence out ICs in your TV that will be replaced to get correct converge picture on front screen.

There are 2 big black IC mounted on big aluminum heat sink and number would be written on as STKxxx, these 2 ICs will be replaced.

If you want to repair TV by yourself then confirm model number of TV to provide you more info or call local tech to replace said ICs.

Yes,it can be fixed...most likely the problem requires the
convergence IC's to be replaced....You can DIY if you are
mechanically sharp and able to solder well....Part(s) come in a kit for your 43UWX10B....................# X 480293........T.

Tv screen waves and is double

No. You have bad convergence output ic;s and probably at least 1 burnt resistor. This liely will have to be reconvergec in the servcie menu after the aprts are changed.

Concave Images with pink and green colors

you can get it your tv fix the problem is in the IF amp and video circuit.a convergence will also be neeeded.the tv is old but can give you some more life call a tech they will be your tv doc.
