Hello a 2250wm is actually a Viewsonic monitor not a Samsung monitor. To get the built in speakers to work you will need to connect the audio cable from your laptop to the monitor audio jack. This cable should have come with your monitor, it will have a headphone 3.5mm plug on both ends of the cable. If you do not have this cable yo will need to get one before you can make the speakers work right. Here is a link so you can get the cable if you need one.
You can, if your cable box has RGB component or s-video or composite outputs and if you can change channels through the cable box. RGB will give the best picture. You could also run a vcr into the monitor and use the vcr to change the channels if the cable box will not do the channel changes for you or if the cable box does not have the right outputs. You will also need a audio output jack on the cable box or vcr to run out to a receiver or stereo or to the monitor speaker bar
Ok right click the desktop choose properties and then scree resoloution in there change the slider to a higher resoloution say 1280x1024 32bit, or 1024x768 32bit. see if that helps. Also you might like to press the Auto key on monitor so it will reset itself.
Are you try in grafik option dual monitor?
If you know go in grafik option, you have one option dual monitor (something like that, depend of grafik card, if intel that is so).Enable that option and turn off laptop. Put monitor cable in laptop and turn on monitor.
I don´t know am I help you, but that must work.
The TV is working, the message is coming from the dish box. What you need to do is to determine if the dish box is connected to the dish and that it has signal at the box, because the message it is delivering to the TV is that it is not receiving signal from the satellite. so you have to check the connection at the satellite and at the box because those are the only point that can generate the error you are getting.
I hope this helps,
I had the same problem. The speakers are mounted below the the LCD Monitor. There is no internal connection between the speakers and the TV Audio. There should have been a short patch cord in your box having one jack on one end and two wires with mono jacks on the other. Plug the stereo jack into the audio out on the monitor and then plug the other jacks into the left and right side of the speakers (the wires should be marked L and R). If you cannot find the jack, I'm sure that you can find one on line or get one from Radio Shack.
Have you connected the laptop to another monitor and use the same refresh rates that cause the distortion? If the distortion appears on a different monitor, then I would have your laptop examined by a pc engineer, but, if the distortion only appears on the 997DF monitor, I suggest having the monitor checked at a repair shop, also, have you tried connecting the 997DF to a desktop PC, and use the same refresh rates?
