Turning off job headers

Good morning,
I have a Xerox Workcentre 4150, connected to a network! Now, everytime a job comes through, it puts a cover page stating who it came from. How can I turn this off?

You have to turn that off , it is called a banner Page, I will sent you a few ways of disabling it.
When enabled, the Banner Page prints for each job. The Banner Page consists of the following:

  • Username
  • Job Name
  • Date
  • Time
  1. From the WorkCentre, enter the Tools mode. See the Related Items below for additional information. The Tools Mode screen will be displayed.
  2. Select [System Settings] from the Touch Screen. The System Settings screen will be displayed.

NOTE: Depending on the model and configuration, there will either be 2 or 3 main screens available in System Settings. For example, the initial screen will be noted as System Settings screen 1 of 2 or 1 of 3.

  3. Select the [Job Sheets] button. The Job Sheets screen will be displayed.
  4. Select the [Banner Sheets] button. The Banner Sheets screen will be displayed.
  5. Select [Enabled] or [Disabled].
  6. Select [Save].
  7. Select [Exit Tools].
Oh yeah
How to enter tools mode would help huh LOL

NOTE: The Tools mode is password protected. The factory set default password is 1111. It is recommended to modify the default password. See the Related Items below for additional information. The Administrator (Tools mode) password used to enter the Tools mode directly at the WorkCentre and the CWIS Administrator password are the same password. If one is modified, it affects the other.

    Another way is

    1. From a Windows 98 / ME / 2000 OS, click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings], and then click on [Printers]. The Printers window will be displayed. From a Windows XP OS, click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings] (if necessary), and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
    2. Right-click on the printer icon, and then select [Properties]. The Properties window will be displayed.
    3. Click on the [General] tab, then click on [Printing Preferences]. The Printing Preferences window will be displayed.
    4. Click on the [Advanced] tab.
    5. Click on the [+] sign next to Paper / Output to expand the folder.
    6. Click on [Banner Sheet] then select [On] or [Off] from the pull-down menu.
    7. Click on [Apply].
    8. Click [OK] twice.

You will also want to go to every computer connected to the printer and be sure in the printer properities that banner page. ( or banner sheet) is disables. Oftentimes one user selecting banner page will turn it on in the printer firmware.

So if it repeatedly turns on after you set it to off, make sure someone is not entering a banner page.

You may also want to go to and upgrade your machine to the latest firmware, Which it version It eliminates a lot of quarks in that machine, that is if you havent already done that

My Xerox 4150 keeps taking lots of blank pages through when printing multiple page documents sometimes 30 or 40 at a time

Two possible solutions to your problem.
If you are talking about grabbing more sheets than one from the tray, you need to make sure the tray guides are up flush against the paper.
If on the other hand you are talking about scanned/copied jobs, check the setting for your scanner, it may be set to letter size which is longer than A4, so the machine thinks it needs another sheet to complete the job causing a blank page to be sent.
Hope this helps

I have a xerox workcentre 4150. how do I get it to stop printing the workstation cover page?

Without looking at the machine, it sounds like the covers is set to "On" in the paper features selection. If you can get into the menu, find the tray, select paper, select white paper, not covers or transparacies.
