Question about Gateway FPD1975W 19" LCD Monitor
I have a Gateway FPD1975W black 19 inch LCD it seems to be in a test mode it keeps flashing a colored screen then a grey one then black not sure why any help would be great thank you
Most likely is the power supply in the monitor.
gateway LCD has a building power supply in the monitor. it supplies 38W to the lamp.
since there is no display, it tells me that there is no power to the monitor.
if try another monitor and it works fine. then the problem is the monitor. (dispaly lamp is good for 17 Years- according to the tech spec.) but the power supply is pushing too much power.
other vendors max power is apporximately 30W.
make sure there is nothing behind the monitor and has good air flow. Since there is no fan in the unit. it need to vent the hot air natually.
