Question about GE WBSR3140DW Top Load Washer
The washing machine will not end after the cycle it keeps on going. It will only stop when I unplug it. Then when I plugged it back up to start another cycle the water in the tub overflowed some and went back down. There also seened to be a fiant burnt smell in the room, however the motor still runs. Will I be able to repair this?
It keeps spinning or you just hear noises and it doesn't end cycle ? Following your description regarding water in tub when you start a new cycle, check for : * Switch level - The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with this specific machine, but if you will remove the cabinet, you will find it easily. Clear first any obstruction in the tube,In case it doesn't help, disconnect the wires from the unit (you should disconnect first machine's power cable !!!!!) and measure with a multi-meter on its tugs for continuity and disconnection while you are inhale and blow to its tube. In case it doesn't react, you should replace it. * Pump and drain host - Check that pump works and that you have no blockage on your drain line. Good luck !!
