Ip1200 takes in paper on right only- tells me paper is out
As above...have fiddled about with cartridge- thinking they may have been put in wrong. The printer mangles the paper on the right and then the screen tells me there is no paper (even when there is a lot)

Are you using 79 cartridges? If so the only other thing it could be is you put them in the wrong slots. I have done this before. Also check the software on your computer an tell it you are installing new cartridges. An reinstall software, i have had to do that on my Lexmark so many times I quit useing it. The repair place told me once Windows has a habit of losing printer info an he had no idea why. It still acts up on my new laptop as well.
Go to START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS, double click on the printer icon. Go to FILE, to PROPERTIES, then click on the printer SERVICES tab. Click on ALIGN the print cartridge button and follow instructions on the screen. hope this works
Align the print cartridges
Typically, you only align print cartridges after installing or replacing a cartridge. However, you may also need to align cartridges when:
Characters are improperly formed or are misaligned at the left margin.
turn on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs.
take all the paper out, put half as much back in. check the rollers to make sure no paper or particles are stuck.
go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats. or take cartridge out and put back in to insure in securely.
lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. hope this helps and good luck
The most common cause for printing blank pages is (1) Failure to remove the protective tape from the bottom of the cartridge. Even if you have removed the tape, there might be some residual tape left at the bottom of the cartridge. I would suggest you check out for this yellow or/and transparent blue tape at the bottom. Please remove it, if present. (2) If there is no tape left behind, then the next option is to clean the cartridge nozzles. I would suggest you go to Lexmark control program or Lexmark Solution Center and run the clean nozzle test. You should see solid dark lines on the print out. Repeat the process 2-3 times till you get a good output. (3) If all the above steps fails, don't worry.. we have one last thing to try... Remove the carts from the printer.. take a warm damp paper towel Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the
ink nozzles are touching the towel, and hold the cartridge in this
position for about 15 seconds. The nozzles are where the ink comes out
of the cartridge. Repeat this process atleast two times and then put the carts back to the printer after 1 min (we need to allow the cart contacts to dry). Now you can install the cart to the printer and try printing. If you still have a problem with the cart, then I would suggest you try another cart as there should be something wrong with the cart that you have right now.
I had exactky the same issue. The problem is not with the front door or the cartridge. I solved this as there was a very small paperjam. If you take out all the paper and shine a torch into the printer you may find a small piece of paper stuck on the sensor that is causing the problem
