It is a Securom conflict that you face. Securom is a copy protection software that sometimes conflicts with any background applications, multiple disc drives, virtual drives, USB storage devices (Pen drives and USB Hard drives).

This however can be solved once you submit a analysis file to the Securom Support.

To extract the Analysis file you can follow the below mentioned.

Open Game folder
Locate "juiced.exe" file and then right-click on it context menu will appear
Select "Launch Analysis" within that menu
After the selection a disclaimer window will appear on your screen, to proceed, click the "YES" button
This 'analysis' will now generate an 'AnalysisLog.sr0' file within the root directory your C:\ drive.

Go to your "C" drive to locate the "AnalysisLog.sr0" file and zip the file compression utility programs such as WinZip, Winace or Pkzip

-Submit the Zip file to: support@securom.com for evaluation along with "Juiced" in subject line.

Securom support will then analyize the file for conflicts and send you a new executable file. Once you have the new file, extract and paste the executable file in the root directory of the game.

Hello!

I have same problem as you. I couldn't solve the problem, but when appear the error box I click the next button (many times, about 40 times), and the program installing have finished finally. And I could start the game. So you have to click to next button not the cancel button!

I cant save the game... every time i try doing that i get the same error: "Save failed! there was an error while saving the current game. Please check you're savegame directory and try again."

There should be a "GTA San Andreas User Files" folder in your "my documents". Make sure it's there. If it's not there, create it, if it's there, try manually deleting all the save files and creating new ones.

Can't install "message in a

I found a possible solution for this problem with another older Nancy Drew Game; I would try this solution and see if it helps with your problems.

The game is too old to run on Vista (assuming that's what you have) but it's easy to fix.

Just do this:
•First, uninstall the game.

•Next, reinstall the game--but don't do AutoPlay. Instead, go into my computer, right-click on the game's icon, and choose "explore".

•You need to then find the "setup" icon, and choose "properties". There's more than one "setup" icon, but only one that allows you to choose "properties".

•After that, go to the compatibility tab, and check the box that says something like "make compatible for"...choose XP, or ME/2000 if you want to play it safe.

•Exit out of the My Computer screen (though in Vista, it's just called Computer). On the start menu, open up your **Documents** window.

•Create a new folder and name in Message in a Haunted Mansion, or something you will, without a doubt, remember.

•Go back to Computer, double click on "setup" and start installing.

•Install as normal, but when you get to the part where you save the game, it's very important that you save it in the documents folder you created. Otherwise, it won't automatically create a folder for itself, and problems occur.

When running Dust: a tale of the wired west under Vista 32-bit i can't save the game. it lets me select a place to save, but clicking save dose nothing. I'm running it as an administrator and i've tried...

I had the same problem. Originally Dust was loaded on my ancient Sony Vaio running windows 98. When I got a new Dell Inspiron running windows vista I transferred all my favorite games and files via wireless connection. When I tried to play Dust the other day I had the same trouble saving. My solution was to once again access my Vaio via the Dell using wireless and track down a previous saved game. The save files being .rtd Once these .rtd files were on my dell I could overwrite them with new saved data from the game thus fixing the problem. All you need to do is find a saved .rtd file from Dust and you can once again save your games under that file. I guess Vista cannot create .Rtd files but can use them. Hope this helps; I love this game and I hope at least one person gets to enjoy it again thanks to my post.

Lost entry code

Well, than you guys have a problem. You could try sarching your house again, and then on the internet for a serial or cd key or something like that, but you then will never be able to play online. It may be a stupid solution, but next time try to save your serials on your PC somewhere or on a DVD...

PS: you could try playing online by direct connect, using Hamachi

Hope you can find your serial somewhere!
