Question about ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9600XT 128MB AGP DVI VIVO (Retail) Graphic Card

1 Answer

Ati 2dvag infinite loop problem.

Help ! I'm a computer novice and I have a pc with Radeon 9800xl. I can only use it in safe mode, and can not connect to internet. I get a no signal message, then an error message saying there is an infinite loop problem associated with ati2dvag.

I have tried resolving it by using the device manager in control panel, but nothing is displayed there.

I have also read that I might need to update my drivers, but all the software I have tried needs to access the internet to do this.

Any suggestions please ?

SOURCE: I received the following message on my graphic

You should go to ATI's website, look up the video card you have, and download the newest software drivers for it. Video drivers can often cause blue screens and system errors when using an old version of the software.

Go to this website:
http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

When you get there, in the upper right hand corner there's a download section for software drivers. If you follow the menu, it will allow you to download the newest software for your video card. Good luck!

Video Card Not Working. Can I replace a Medion Radeon 9800XL Ver : 100 with a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb?

Both boards are AGP 8x type boards. So, assuming that you have the appropriate drivers for the replacement board, there is no reason to assume that you cannot perform the swap. You may not even have to change the drivers, since they are both 9800 Radeon family, but I would be sure I had the right ones available in case.

Ati2dvag infinite loop how do I fix this

This seems to be a problem with the video card driver as ati2dvag is a part of it. What you could do is go into safe mode. Insert the drivers disc for your video. Reinstall the driver for your video card.

To go to safe mode just restart the computer and continuously pres f8 until you see the advanced options menu then press the arrow keys to highlight safe mode. Then press enter.

these cards do require that additional power be given to them from the power supply. Have you connected the card to your PC power supply via the 3 pin connector and power connector.

Also uninstall the driver via safe mode and let it redetect in normal mode then install the latest drivers for your card. Download from ati.com

If you have an ATI video card in your notebook, (and chances are you do), go to Safe Mode, uninstall the old ATI driver, restart, go to normal mode and download and install an updated version of your driver. Keep us posted...
