I am not able to receive or make calls on my nokia due to the error "no network". I had only just received this phone, it is not brand new my partner had upgraded so I took this phone. It was working earlier this afternoon, but not working now. Unsure what I had done, changed or pressed. Please help.

This shows that you don't have the GPRS and MMS settings received on your phone.They are to be received from your Network Service Provider.Since you are using BSNL Network please do the following steps to receive the packet data settings on your phone. Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network), not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding Sim card problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone. or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.
If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset, then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.
If the same Sim card doesn't not work on another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.
This is usually due to the phone being lock to a distant cell tower, if that is the case just shut the phone off and remove the battery wait about 2 minutes and replace the battery and restart the phone,if that doesn't fix the problem it may be an internal problem or a carrier problem.
First backup all your data and contacts to your PC or memory card. Then press the following keys *#7370#. The phone will ask if you want to restore all original settings. Select "yes". When the phone asks for a code type in 12345 and continue.
MAKE SURE YOU DO THAT BACKUP FIRST BECAUSE ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE WIPED.
Connection error usually is because you set some restriction to make or receiv a call. However, this setting can also be done by the network provider.
And since you said you got no signal, means that your SIM card can not finish registering to the network, which normally means that your network provider is blocking your card. Same thing happen to pre-paid card which no longer in active period and already pass grace period.
I suggest you call the network provider, or come to their support center for solution.
