Question about Belkin TuneFM (F8Z061) (White) FM Transmitter for Apple iPod nano

Open Question

Belkin FM transmitter issue.

I bought a new Belkin FM transmitter about a 3 weeks ago. Just to be clear it's the one that plugs into your cigarette lighter. I also got an iPhone, and a new Nano yesterday. My Belkin works with the iPhone and iPod in one of my cars but not the other. I drive practically the same car, however one is a wagon and one is a sedan. I don't quite understand how it could work in one car and the not the other when the cars are the same year and make?? It doesn't work at all with the iPod, but with the iPhone it only works if the car ISN'T running when it's in the wagon. In the sedan, everything's fine!!! But guess which car I have all the time being a Mum and the fact the car runs on gas?????

I tried my old Belkin with the iPod and it works but doesn't charge it.

HELP!!!
I don't want to spend more money trying to get it right, but I love my music.

SOURCE: only part of the screen lights up and it won't scan right

I contacted the company and they are sending me a new one. They have a great 3 year warranty and seem to be more than willing to replace. I just have to return the original one within 20 days and then I will not be charged for the new one. I do have my receipt but they didn't even ask for it. Thankyou

SOURCE: Belkin FM transmitter problem

the F8Z136-BLK does not support 4G nanos. The pins are different on the connector, so the nano will not charge.

SOURCE: Everything works when I plug in the Belkin

I had to reset my itouch, then reset the Belkin Tunebase FM. I then had to change the radio frequency that Belkin's website recommended. After tha, the itouch played through the radio.

I need to know how to turn it on...i don't know if its broken or what...cuz i put in new batteries and it won't trun on

1. Open the battery cover on your TuneCast II Mobile FM Transmitter. Install the included AAA batteries and
replace the battery cover.
2. Plug the 3.5mm connector into your iPod player or other portable music device.
3. The AUTO ON feature will power on the FM Transmitter when the unit detects an input signal. Your FM
Transmitter’s “AUTO ON/OFF” feature uses your audio player’s volume level to automatically power on and
off.
For best results, keep your player set at a medium volume level. NOTE: Setting your device volume very
low may cause the FM Transmitter to turn off, even if the audio player is on.
You can also press and hold
both and buttons simultaneously for two seconds to turn on the unit. To turn off the unit, press
and hold both buttons simultaneously again for two seconds.

A simple monopole antenna tuned to the FM band should be almost 3 feet long. Notice that your Belkin box doesn't have that. When you touch the gooseneck, you couple some of the signal out your arm, and you become the antenna. Sort of.

Also, your car radio antenna is in a terrible position to receive it. It may even be on the roof of your car, which is great for receiving vertically polarized FM stations from far away but bad for receiving signals from inside the car, through sheet metal.

The other problem is that there are legal limits to what these gadgets can transmit. I had one that really stunk, and when I took it apart it had a spot labeled "ANT" on the circuit board, and with a 32 inch piece of wire attached, the power radiated was 20 dB higher ... that's 100 times as much. I picked it up almost 100 feet away. Your old one probably put out too much power.

Now if you wound a couple foot long piece of wire around your Belkin and fooled around with it a bit, you'd probably notice that the signal comes in nice and clear, because it takes the place of your arm grabbing the gooseneck. You could clip the other end somewhere where it wouldn't rattle around. But, you know, that could be ******* and folks in cars around you might hear it.

Just bought a new Philips MP3 Player Model SA3025/37 and was wondering if I can use it in my car?

You can use any MP3 player in your car by connecting to an FM transmitter.

Look for FM transmitters on E-Bay.

They are powered by either battery, or cigarette lighter adaptor.
They plug into the headphone socket of the MP3 and convert the output into an FM signal, which you can tune your car radio into.
