Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Sounds like a developing laser issue. PS2s would often do this as they died, first failing to read DVDs and DVD-based games, then eventually failing to read CDs. Time to ring up Sony for service.
The number for Sony is listed on the back of almost every game manual.
You may be under a warranty so calling Sony is your best option to avoid spending another $400.00 dollars.
I hope I was able to fixya problem and Happy Gaming!
