While watching tv, volume climbs to full by itself, screen flashes and remote becomes useless. Not a remote problem. When I unplug the tv for awhile it comes back to normal for a couple hours. Seems like a heat problem, just don't know where to look.

The volume button on the tv is stuff??? Try pushing the volume up and see if it pushes in or if its already pushed in? if thats not any jelp then the volume control chip or the processor is bad in the set. Also it could as well be a problem with the remote sensor in the set. This set has no used serviceable parts inside the set so if all these suggestions by myself and the other expert dosent work , you should contact Mistshbishi at 800-332-2119 or contact a local authorized repair center. Good Luck

All I can offer as help is to disconnect the TV from the mains power completely and go away and leave it for an hour or so or even overnight. Then plug it back in and possibly it will behave itself again. BMW

Volume goes max and will not lower.

Please remove the batteries from the remote and check whether it is possible to use the local keypad on the TV? If the volume increases, it may be a problem in the local keyboard.

The word volume is staying on the screen and the volume will not stay on. when i go to the start menu it just goes crazy, seems anything i have to use the volume arrows for are not working.

Is it working OK with remote control?

If the problem noticed when you use the front panel buttons, you
have to replace all the tiny switches at a stretch.
Due to contact problem the resistance will vary time to time.
Hence you will get crazy functions. better replace all the button
switches of this type. These are all interlinked.

The tact switch behind the panel is being pushed in by a defective front panel button, the small switch is bad behind the button, or the volume control IC is bad. Good Luck
