So yesterday i played brawl for awhile and then turned off the wii like normal. Then today i turned on my wii and went through all the normal screens, but the wii-mote cursor does'nt show up.. The home button, as well as the +, -, and power buttons work fine, but the cursor does not. I've never had this problem before, so im not sure what im supposed to do..
I have already unplugged the wii, Pressed the sync button on the wii-mote [both of them..], Replaced batteries in both wii motes and the sensor bar, turned off and on my sensor bar [its not the one that came with the wii..], and i did a soft reset [using the wii-mote].
Did i miss something?

It sounds like you've refused an Xbox Live Update at some point.
You can go into your system options and see if there's an update available.
To check for an update on the Xbox 360 you basically force a new Xbox Live connection:
Press the Guide button (center logo button), bringing up the pop-up menu
Go to Settings
Select System Settings
Select Network Settings
Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network if you're on wifi
Select Test Xbox Live Connection
Select Yes if prompted to update. If you're not prompted and the test completes successfully, you have the most recent update.
Being Sharp authorized dealer for past 11 yrs. it is one of two problems. 1- Get updated software from Sharp Online. 2- The T-con or otherwise known as controller board has a defect. This board controls all resolution lines and formats down to pixels on your screen. Let me tell you we have a box with several hundred of these boards with various defects all associated to picture and resolution problems. let me know what you find.... EXPERT-TECH@LIVE.COM
I will answer this in a Liner sequence. Follow step by step.
Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View>check Show Hidden Files and Folders>uncheck Hide Extensions for known File types >Hide Protected Operating System Files and folders.
Start>Computer>C:/Users>[your username/username of local settings you want to find\]>Local Settings.
If access is denied you can take ownership of the folder if your using an administrator account.
Right click - Properties>Security>Select [your username]>Advanced>Owner>Edit>[select your username]> check Replace Owner on sub containers and objects>Apply>Yes
Close all windows and reopen.
Do not attempt to alter settings in this folder It can lead to serious damage to your computer and / or applications. Altering settings in this folder will at the very least cause programs to stop running properly. There is nothing in this folder that can be used to fix a computer.
Right Click on the Cue Club Icon and click on properties, and a box will appear
Click on the compatibility tab on the box
Check the Run this program ....... box and press OK
Now You are done Thanks for reading
Had a very similar problem recently. I bought a new controller and that solved the problem. 2 of my controllers have ended up useless playing fifa, although pointing at the wii menu is now problem. Its a strange one but the new wiimote works perfect
