Yahoo messenger does not work after install

I was working with a FixYa Premium Support tech and was asked to load IE 8 the connection was severed and I am now looking to reconnect

Kindly make sure all your drivers are updated via windows update

IE 8 VERY buggy with new flash player

Ok, in IE8 in the tools menu, Internet Options, and in the last tab, reset to factory default, go back to the adobe website to download the latest version of the flash player

You should be fine after this

Yahoo messenger not working - a prroblem caused the program to stop working correctly


Try to use the messenger by creating other user account, if that doesn't help then you might have to uninstall and re-install the YIM on your system.

Internet Explorer 8 External Link Problem


hi,
1.make internet explorer as a default web browser.tools - IE options - programs, there you have option.
2.run this link: http://karthik.realslimshady.googlepages.com/outlooklinks.reg

3. if it still doesn't work check it in safe mode with networking, if it works there disable securiy software once and see.

Internet problem


Open IE >Click Tools>Click Manage add-ons>Locate and disable Adobe flash player>Close IE and reopen it and see if you still have the problem,If not,just uninstall Adobe Flash player and download and install an older version from here. Just choose version 8 or version 9 Mine works best with version 9 but your might work best with version 8,

If you still have the problem after uninstalling adobe and reinstalling the older version,Please post back.

Problems trying to install Internet Explorer 8


Firstly Remove SP3 through
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950249

Then Download SP2, it works fine. Either way u can also go for SP3
Then try again for IE* or Mozilla

2. Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
3. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
4. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.

you may have a registry problem download registry cleaner reg in out to fix the issue

That happened to me when I was on dial up so painstakingly I uninstall the whole lot and then started again. I reinstalled Yahoo messenger 8.1 and it took over and hour to do the install but it paid off. All the extras ie; audibles all worked again and this time guess what it came with all the new audibles included were Chinese and Indian(hindu) audibles not that I would use them I suppose but who knows who might come to dinner and use MY yahoo!!!....good luck pal. OH yeah in case your interested yahoo have a web page now that you can log into anywhere in the world with your yahoo ID without having to download anything just try it go here http://au.webmessenger.yahoo.com
