Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV240E Digital Camcorder
When I try to use the camcorder the screen displays a little triangle (pointing up) with a bar underneath and goes "bing! bing!" repeatedly. This icon in the trouble shooting section of the manual indicates that there may be moisture in the workings, but I've tried to dry it out to no avail. Any ideas?
Usually letting the unit open for a day in a dry environment is enough to resolve this problem. If you have done this and still get the message your moisture sensor is bad and needs replaced. It is in the vicinity of the video drum assembly. I don't know if you are capable of making this repair but any good repair shop should be able to fix it for less than $100 US. Good luck.
