Are they new speakers?
Did you try attaching any other audio source to them to check for sound (like a little radio).
Did you connect them to the right plug on the computer? (should be the green socket).
Speakers don't normally have their own drivers.
And what you need for the computer are the drivers for the sound card.
So we need to know what kind of sound card it is, to be able to point you to the correct place to get them from. There is no "universal" sound driver.

When you look at device manager on the computer, do it show your sound card?

My speakers are not working. When I open itunes it says. iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration audio/video playback may not operate properly. I recently used some software 'Magix...

http://support.creative.com/
This is Creative's support link. The speakers you have are Dell. Do you have a sound card installed? If you have a speaker icon in your taskbar, lower right of screen, does it have a red X? Right click on it then, click on playback devices. A window should open with your device. Does anything show up and if it does does it show it "working"? Right click on it and a window should open and you should see "enable" or "disable", if it shows enable, click on that and exit. If you are still ahving problems with this let me know at "add a comment"

Rear Speaker delay

It will not be the length of the wires, as the signal travels at close to the speed of light!

If the connections to the speakers are bare wires the cause is probably that you have wired the speakers with opposing polarity. Check the wiring and ensure that positive (red) is wired to positive on the speakers.

The speaker cable should be marked in some way to indicate which core is which. It doesn't matter which core you use provided that you wire red to red and black to black, or whatever other colours your output and input have.

Cant get speakers to work

if it is a hardware problem

check to see there is no red X through the speaker this means it Muted if so double click the red X and you will be turning them back on

turn off your computer
1. plug them in most pc's its the green female is the speaker out.
2. do you have power attached to the speakers if you got a power supply or power cord plug, make sure that it is pluged in.
3.turn on your computer.
when you see your desktop see if a speaker is present on the right hand
side of the task bar your in luck

If it is a Software proublem

1.right click on my computer and click on properties.
then click on hardware, then device manager

2.expand sound, video and game controllers the + sign next to the speaker

4. if you notice a yellow exclamation point on sound, video and game
controllers that usually means it's a driver or software
you might need to reinstall the sound cards driver

Lost my software disc to my speakers

You dont need software for your speakers, you need software for your sound card. Should already be loaded on your computer unless someone added a sound card..Go to the card manufacture for the driver..

No sound. Do I need driver software for these speakers?

shouldn't need it for speakers. you do however need one for the sound card on your computer. if the speakers were an upgrade and you know the sound card works... check that it is plugged into the proper hole at the back of the computer and that there is power to the speakers.
