Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer
I bought my Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 in March of 2007. Approximately 4 months after I got the washer I started having an error on the washer that said "LD". The manual and repairman said that "LD" means Long Drain, and that it probably means my drain pipe is clogged or not working. Two different Sears repairmen have come to try and fix my washer, one replaced the control board, and the other replaced the motor. Both times it didn't fix the problem, and both times they couldn't really seem to diagnose the problem correctly at all.
I've diagnosed this problem pretty specifically and know exactly when it will malfunciton. Right before the washer should Start Spinning the clothes, it will just sit there with the motor running for a few minutes. Then the "LD" error will come up. Recently after this "LD" error comes up even when I push stop twice and restart a new cycle, it will not start a cycle at all. No water will come out and the motor is just running for a few minutes and then the "LD" error will come upo again. I've also tried unplugging the washer for a minute and sometimes the washer is able to start a cycle again. However, even though the the washer seems to work again, it will eventually stop in the exact same place with the "LD" error.
I've checked the drain pipe thoroughly and have concluded that it is working perfectly. The 2nd repairman though my washer was "oversudzing" but I have cut down and use extremely small amounts of HE detergent. I've seen in some of these posts that sometimes the washer sends a false signal to the to the control board and will not initiate the spin cycle. Is there a way I can manually get the washer to just do the spin cycle? Is there anyway I can fix this problem myself? Your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for your time. Same problem. If I leave the machine set for 20-30 minutes off, I can go back and just run the spin, and it will finish the load. Every once in awhile it magically does the whole cycle. The repairman told me to change out the pump. I did it, but the machine still doesn't work. Do these machines have some sort of level switch that could be bad? I have been searching on SearsPartsDirect.com, and have found a pressure switch hose, but no level switch. I haven't figured out if/how to change the pressure switch

Since that you let repairman do twice and didn't fixed the problem, I think your washer have still warranty from the vendor. and they repair it free.
Please verify the panel board of the machine maybe got grounded in the wiring or got wet. How ever you can do that in your own you should consult the repairman on that matter. however the two repairman did not resolve, so its better to bring the washer's to the vendor. im sure they can fix the issue or you will be enlightened by their valuable suggestion and solution.

I had the same problem with F1 and F68. I just bought a $345 new computer for my washer. These machines are defective. Mine was purchased in Nov. of 2006 but not even out of the box until Jan. 2007!!!

It appears your timer has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
