Question about Canon PowerShot S60 Digital Camera
My S60 has developed a two tone image on the LCD viewer screen. Top 2/3s is mono tone and the screen will flicker while I get ready to take a picture. But once I compress shutter to focus the screen will clear up. So far it does not seem to be affecting camera operation or my pictures. Please tell me if my Canon is about to die on me? Is there something I can do? If my LCD screen dies can I return it to Canon for repairs? I use this camera for personal and at the office. It gets a work out. I would be lost without it. Thanks in advance for any word of wisdom.
This sounds like it might be impending failure of the CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
