If you put 32V capacitors instead of 16V on a power supply circuit, they will work the same, providing that they have the same capacitance, in your case 1000uf.
However, next time there is some problem again (eg. a wrong voltage) , instead of blowing the capacitors, it will blow something else, probably more expensive , and more difficult to diagnose and replace.
Capacitors are also often safety components, and they blow to save the rest of the circuit.
Always better to stick to factory recommendation, when possible.

If the 35 volts fit in the space provided for the 16 volts, is OK to use them but they must be 1000uF.
