Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player
I plugged it into my puter with the cord that came with it, does not charge that way. it did charge when plugged into my son's stereo--once, but now is completely dead----how do I fix it? what do I do? I plug my Sandisk Sansa 4GB mp3 player into the computer with the cord that came with it, and it wouldn't charge. I once plugged it in on a wall charger, and it charged once. Now it is completely dead and it won't charge on either one of the two.
You MAY have a power glich. In which case, hold the power/menu botton down for 20 seconds or more, then connect it to the computer. It's best if you use a USB input that's NOT part of a Multi-USB base, as those DO cause power gliches.

If you have an outlet charger (like for a cellphone) that connects to your MP3, use it. It works for mine. My sansa clip will NOT charge when connected to my computer, but it will when its connected to an outlet (although veeery slowly).

I just found out (after changing to a new harddrive) that my Sansa won't charge on the new OS load, I assume because I've not loaded the software\drivers. I re-installed old harddrives (still fully functional) and the unit charged again. Put the new drive back in, unit will not charge.
Also cannot access drive without software. That's stupid. I'd not buy one of these ever again.
