Cartridge error I keep getting " color cartridge inserted now is not intended for use in this printer". I have had the same cartridge in since i purchased the printer. I have checked it and it is not empty. I have also shut it down to see if it would reset and that doesn't work either. could you please help? Thanks

The only solution I found is to replace the cartridge - I did it and it works fine now. B4 this, I cleaned the cartridge connectors according to HP instructions, but the error message kept coming back, but once in a while, I could print!?! It's possible, since these cartridges need super-special care when handling, that either dust somehow disrupted recognition of cartridge or maybe during the initial install of the cartridge I accidently touched somewhere I shouldn't have!...

Color Cartridge

Hi,

When this error appears in your printer check if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel is with the cartridge. To fix this issue use the Kleenex(perfume ) added with few drops of water to dampen it and clean off those contact on the holder. You should let the unit sit 24 hours for best results. Before printing anything run aligned thecartridgesa couple times then run clean cartridges a couple of times. Print the test page to look for the condition.

Thank you !!

My printer error says: Color cartridge inserted is not intended for use in this printer

That printer is intended to use the HP 95 and HP 97 cartridge. If anything other than these are inserted then it will not operate. Check to be sure your color is one of these two. If it is then you should take that cartridge back to where you bought it and get it exchanged or contact HP.

My HP 3920 is showing error of "The following print cartridge is not intended for use in this printer Tri-color" and Status is : paper jam. Any body can help me how can i fix it?Thanks

If you know you have the right cartridge, and it is inserted correctly, you might try opening and closing the paper jam door in the back of the printer. Sometimes the printer gets "confused" as to what the real problem.Or, at least my HP printer does.
