Thats because your TV output is set to display as an extension of the desktop and not as a clone of it.

This can be fixed...

Do you have installed the ATI CATALYST CONTROL CENTER? Thats ATI utility that controls the card, it usually places a red ATI icon besides the clock in windows. Double clicking the icon you enter the catalyst control center, use it in advanced mode and go to the DISPLAYS MANAGER menu from the column on the left you can configure what you want to do with your displays with numerous option that adapt to any arrangement.

As always keep your drivers up to date... If your card isn't a true ATI, just a radeon built by someone else, then you might need to download the drivers from that manufacturer and use their utility. Or maybe you can force install the original ATI drivers for your card model.

I i have a card 1 gb with DVI/VGA/TV-OUT and i need to show on COMPUTER SCREEN AND TV IN THE SAME TIME pls advice how?

Make sure you have the Catalyst Control Software installed and set to advanced mode. When you open the program and go to the settings for multiple monitors. There is a box that needs to be checked on the VGA option that allows it to be on always. Here is the support link where you can find the software http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-3000/hd-3400/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-3400-overview.aspx

Update of ATI Radeon HD 2400 is causing problems - my two screen display keeps switching to single screen since the update of Nov. 13th, 2010.

Click the START MENU, click the CONTROL PANEL. Locate the APPEARANCES AND THEMES link. Click the DISPLAY tab or MONITOR Tab. In this option, a DROP BOX MENU will be available. Click the ATI RADEON HD 2400 PRO device. It may say something similar to MULTIPLE MONITORS. After doing so, you may configure the MONITORS as to giving them a position such as MONITOR #1 AND #2. You may do this by DOUBLE CLICKING the monitor example pictures above the drop box menu to verify which monitor will be your main DISPLAY.

Hi I have an ATI Radeon HD 3650 x16 PCI-I installed in my desktop. It doesn't seem to recognize that I have two monitors plugged in. How do I do this? Thank you in advance

Go into Control Panel and choose the Display option in XP or Personalization option in Vista. Find Display settings.
Then check the Extend the desktop onto this monitor box to activate the 2nd monitor.

Ati radeon X300 SE how to get both monitors working at the same time. Windows XP screen settings and ATI Catalyst Control Center can see only one at a time, but not both...

Use the DVI port, and the VGA port on the ATI Radeon X300SE graphics card.

If you have two monitors that are LCD, and they both have a DVI connector, use a DVI to VGA adapter for the VGA port on the ATI Radeon X300SE.

[You need a Female DVI to Male VGA adapter, such as this example,

http://www.directron.com/dviadapter.html

Turn both monitors on. Right-click on an empty spot on the desktop screen. Left-click on Properties, then the Settings tab.
Left-click on the monitor icon with the 2 in it.
Go down to ->Extend my desktop to this monitor, and left-click in the box to the left of it.

Go down to the right, and left-click on Apply.
Now go over to the left, and left-click on OK.

You should now have your desktop screen on both monitors. When you open a window on your Primary monitor, (Monitor icon 1), Left-click on the frame, hold the mouse button down, and drag this screen to the Secondary monitor.

If it doesn't work this way, drag to the other side.

what you have the ATI card hooked up can you see the boot screen? If you can see that you might want to try going into safe mode and making sure your graphics settings aren't set beyond the capability of your monitor. If you can't see the boot screen then your card might be dead.

Still Not working. no output on tv.

Open the ATI software, go to "set up my display configuration" and from there you should have an option to make the TV mirror your screen exactly. If I misunderstood you and you're attempting to do something different, all the options you need to configure your display should be right within the ATI software.
