It;s very important for the internal cooling fan to run while you are microwaving.

If not, then the magnetron can be destroyed pretty quickly.

If it;s less than 30 days since you bought it, your dealer will probably exchange it.

It's is longer, but still in warranty, you should contact an LG-authorized servicer in your area.

For Goldstar / LG / L.G. help, call 1-800-243-0000 (M-F, 7am-8pm CT, Sat 8-5 CT) and choose the appropriate prompt from the menu or visit here.

LG MS-1943ALT Micowave not working, light, fan and turntable all work, no heat

From the decription that you have provided, the magnetron is highly suspect and is the most expensive part to replace, cheaper to replace the microwave oven in the long run.

GE microwave just stopped working a yesterday. It still runs, fan motor and light still work, but it doesn't heat anything up.

The magnetron is the likely cause, but there are two other parts that can be a factor, the high voltage capacitor and diode, they work together with the magnetron to generate the high voltage and heat the food. If a professional is brought in to assess with parts and labor, it will be high.

Microwave Fan Keeps running

Neither the owner's manual nor the quick start guide for this model addresses that specifically, but most commercial microwaves do work this way to ensure proper cooling.

The manual does state that when you open the door then close it, thelight and fan will stay on for an unspecified period of time.

If the word "HOT" appears in the display, the magnetron is overheatedand the fan will run until the temperature is brought down.

If the fan fan NEVER shuts off, then there may be a stuck relay or defective sensor.

Hotpoint microwave exhaustive fan combined unit - fan not working

Do you feel air flow? That's the key.

Most microwaves have the exhaust fan assembly at the back edge, not up front immediately behind the grille / vent.
