Then you probably need a new graphics card.. JTF requires these at a minimum to play:

Minimum System Specifications

  • Windows 2000/XP Home or Professional/x64
  • Intel Pentium 4 2 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2000+
  • NVIDIA GeForce 4 (non-MX) or ATI Radeon 9500, DirectX 9.0c compliant videocard with 128 MB RAM
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 3 GB of uncompressed hard drive space
  • DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
  • DirectX 9.0c (included)
  • 4x CD/DVD-ROM drive
  • Microsoft-compatible mouse and keyboard
  • 56 kbit/s dial-up modem for online play; 10 Mbit/s for LAN play

My nvidia graphics gets heated very soon...while running crysis games..is it normal?

Hi complicatedt,

Yes, it is normal, that's why graphic cards nowadays has it's own cooling fan.
The heating of the cards also depend on the system requirement of a program or game.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you for using FixYa!

It makes the games work slowly how can i solve this problem?

you might have to put more RAM in random access memory to check how much ram you have click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all imformation about your computer including installed ram
or you might have to many programs when you are running your games scroll to bottom of screen (task bar) select task manager applications you will see whats running if you see anything you dont need running select end now also under processes you might have a virus slowing you down and users you will see who is using your computer

hope this helps

I cannot play call of duty world at war with my video card fx 5500 256mb

Hi,

As far as i know 1GB graphics card is required for play call of duty. 256 MB is very low video memory to run this game so its not working on your card.

I recommend you that. Please upgrade your graphics Card to Nvidia GE Force 9400 GT 1GB.

Thanks.

Happy to help you.

I want to upgrade my graphics performance for hp pavilion dv6

If this is laptop, In laptops the graphics cards are integrated meaning they are a part of the motherboard. There is no slot or place to put a card in, usually it is in a chip that is fused to the motherboard and the only way to get a new one is to replace the motherboard itself. Either try to play around with settings to get the most out of it or buy a new laptop. I would say upgrade your graphics drivers (nvidia website) and Direct X (microsoft website). Turn off all background tasks and services in your task bar when running games. And you can tweak the game settings within the games also, turn off shaders and keep screen resolution lower possibly.

Try dropping the resoltution that the game plays at. Also turn down any "eye candy" settings. Also stop any background progs running via task manager to allow max power to be used for game performance

i have found that some boards don't like Nvidia graphics cards and play up when it comes to a particular graphical attempt. You can try the game and card on lower settings, but that defeats the purpose of the card, and make sure you have the latest directx (9C i think) installed You can try as i did some older graphic card drivers for your model as Nvidia now seem to make generic force drivers for all models. I had luck with different drivers for a while, but ended up buying an ATI graphics card and as of yet after a year had no graphic problems.
