You responded to my problem by having me "turn off" the setting for the "Memory". We already have it set on "Off" for the "Memory" because we have always had it set at that. And I have printed the list of the Fax Parameters. The problem is the fax quit sending the faxes direct without us even touching that setting, the memory is off and it will not let us send any fax until we manual push the "Memory" button to turn it "ON" every time we send a fax. This is what we are trying to fix. We do not know why it is doing this.

I work with rlandriani and am following up with this problem for her. On the fax parameter list, the memory is set to "off" and the Quick Memory XMT is set to "valid". However, when we send a fax, the only way we can dial the fax number is to go through the memory.
Thank you for your help. We found someone local that picked up the machine to check it out.
Hi rlandriani,
I understand that you are having problems, and sympathise with you, but not having the machine in front of me I have to ask you to be my eyes and hands.Sometimes if there is a power dip or surge a machine can revert to factory default settings and that is why I asked you to set the default sending paramater to "memory off".
As I understand it - in the past you were able to just put your message on the feeder, punch in the number and press start and the machine would dial and send when answerred.
For the situation to be different something has changed - and that is what we are now looking for.
On the paramter list that you have printed what does it say under "sending options" or XMT memory.
Sorry I dont have the exact wording at hand as I am not near the office at the moment and am responding to you from an internet cafe'.
We can also check under the menu settings for sending options to see if that looks in order to you. I will be back in the office on Tuesday 21st October and will check for the workshop manual to see if there is a service switch that can be set or changed to set your machine back to how it was, in the meantime if you can go through the above and let me know what you find.
Thanks, together we will fix this problem for you.
Regards Gavin
