Inside the plastic fuel line ther are two seals you can get from the dealor a spacer inbetween and a coller on top holding it all in use a dental pick and a 3/8 socket to putit all togeather

Testimonial: "You are completely correct, the first time I called the dealer they wanted to sell the 3 line loom from the gas tank and would have to drop the gas tank and some suspension parts. I do appreciate your response and now the dealer has the filter seals available for 2.35 each versus about 1000.00 to drop the tank and suspension."

How do you replace fuel filter?

If it's a 4x4 the filter is under the driver side door on the frame, if it's a 4x2 then the filter is ahead of the passenger side wheel on the frame. Pull the fuel pump fuse from under the hood and crank it over to relieve some fuel pressure and ensure that the fuel doesn't shoot out all over the place. Then unscrew the band clamp off of the filter. If the fuel lines have the plastic pin type retainers just pull the pins out and pull out the filter. If it has the metal auto-locking spring couplers then you need a 5/16" fuel line disconnect tool. Wiggle the line/filter, push the tool into the coupler all the way and turn and pull the fittings apart. Put the new filter back in with the flat end facing the rear and push the pins back in/push the couplers back on and re-tighten the band clamp. Put the fuse back in the under-hood fuse panel. Turn the key from off to run about 5 times to cycle the fuel pump and prime the lines. Check to see if there is any gas leaking and if there isn't start it up.

I don't know the above answer that I found can do for you or not. Good luck!

Need to replace fuel filter

The fuel filter is mounted on the floor pan just in front of the fuel tank Use compressed air or carburetor cleaner to clean any dirt surrounding the fuel inlet and outlet line fittings. Once all the dirt has been removed, twist the two lines a quarter-turn in opposite directions to loosen the fitting. Depress the white plastic quick-disconnect tabs and detach the inlet line from the fuel filter (see illustration [see comment below marked "#2"] ). Note: Have spare rags or a small container to catch or wipe up extra gasoline that will spill from the filter assembly. Use an open end wrench to steady the outlet side of the filter and a flare nut wrench to unscrew the fuel line nut, then separate the outlet line from the filter while noting the installed position of the O-ring. Using a flare nut wrench will help to avoid rounding the corners off of the fuel line nut. Detach the fuel filter mounting bracket bolt and remove the fuel filter. Installation is the reverse of removal. Note: Be sure to install a new O-ring on the outlet line before reassembling. "Squeeze the white plastic quick-disconnect tabs together and pull the inlet line (A) away from the filter, then detach the outlet line (B) from the fuel filter - unbolt the filter mounting bracket to remove the fuel filter".
