I have a 2001 Boxster S. The CD unit, Porsche CDR 220, will not take a CD. Is there a fix for this? Any suggestions?

You can only get the code from a dealer. The code is unique to each headunit.

Connected a 12V battery loader on my Porsche 911 convertible death battery but on the wrong poles! No music since, although all fuses in the fuse box are OK. The radio/CD is an original Porsche CR 220....

The fuse is on the back of the unit. You need a becker radio tool puller to remove the radio. The tools are inserted into the small slots on the sides of the radio. (example tools: http://www.eagleday.com/porscheaudio.html) My first attempt at pulling a radio from a Boxster required about 20 minutes.
