Question about Kenmore Dishwashers
Leaks about 1/4 cup of water about 15 minutes into the wash. i checked the rubber insulation and they appear to be intact.
One thing that sometime happens is that a crust of dried-on grease forms on the metal surface that the rubber seals seal against.
This is fine up to a point - the seals just continue to work against the grease. The trouble comes when bits of this layer start to break away and water leaks through the gaps.
Use a plastic spatula to scrape all the gunge off. After you've done that, it may take a couple of cycles for the machine to stop leaking (the seals sometimes need time to relax back to their original shape)
