Hi,
When you press the CTRL+ Dek key, the task manager would come up, Click on the processes tab. Select Outlook.exe or windows mail.exe in the list and select end proccess.
If the same doesnot work, try restarting your computer and then configure the router once again.

Thanks

How do i get my apps to finish downloading i have a good wifi connection

It's not uncommon for downloads to appear to get stuck or not finish yet with a hard reboot many will often show up. The problem is with many downloads they seem to have a hard time closing either the download program or closing and rebooting the hardware.

I am tryign to uninstall fix it, get error 5006

Installation or uninstallation of an application or game fails and gives the following error code:

This issue is due to a previous installation not finishing properly

Solution 1. Rename the Installshield folder

Make sure you've enabled Show hidden files and folders.

Find and rename the Installshield folder:

Windows 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Installshield

Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Installshield

If there is an Installshield file in the Common Files folder, rename that one also (e.g. to Installshield_OLD).

Solution 2. Remove all traces of previous uninstall

If renaming the Installshield folder had no effect, find and delete any traces of uninstalled applications.

Applications that can assist you are: Revo Uninstaller, Windows Installer Cleanup Utility , CCleaner.

Alternatively, do a manual clean-up:

Close all running programs. Then clear the Temp folder (found via input of %temp% in Start > Search or Start > Run).

Use the Windows registry editor to delete registry entries related to the program.

Restart the computer.

hope this helps

Unnecessary programs running on my pc

Uninstall them. You can click Start/Control Panel and look for the way to uninstall the programs either by Programs and Features or Uninstall Program or Add Remove Programs.

You can also click Ctrl/Alt/Del keys to bring up the task manager to stop them from running, but this is temporary. When the task manager opens the Applications tab will show you what is running. You can highlight and click End Task to stop it. The Process tab will show things that are running there also buy if you click and end process on something important the system will shut down. No big problem just reboot.

Click Start/Programs/ and look for the RUN command. If might be in the Accessories folder. One you find RUN open it. Type: msconfig and press ok. Once the System Configuration window opens click the Startup Tab. Remove the check mark by anything that you don't want to run when windows starts up. Don't worry, you can always go back in and put the check mark back.

You may have a virus or infections that are running. Download and Install MalwareBytes and run a quick scan.
Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

Simply click on the red X in the top right corner to close the window. CClean doesn't care what is running as it does its work and neither should you.

Computer running slow

Close all computer programs that you can. Look at the bottom right side of your screen near the clock area, and right click with your mouse on any ICON's and choose "exit" or "close". then run disk clean up. (start - programs, accessories - system tools and then click on disk clean up)

After it scans and tells you how much space can be saved - click all boxes - scroll up and down and make sure all boxes are checked then click "ok" - and let it run until finished.

After that run disk defrag (start - programs accessories - system tools and click on disk defrag)

Click on "C" drive and click defrag now. This may take a while to complete and thats normal.

When its finished, go to your control panel and click on programs or installs and uninstall anything that you dont use or do not need. Then re-boot and go to windows update to update your pc on the internet. That should speed it up.

Cannot close the internet screen or go into

go to the site and download the shown program. Preferrably on another computer. I believe yours is infected with malware. Intsall, update and run the program. when it runs, choose the quick scan and let the syetm get scanned. When the program finishes it will ask you to show the results, click on that button and whatever infections it finds, it will post. Make sure they are all checked and delete all it finds. Reboot the computer and try to browse once again.

Windows closing slow means you have a bunch of program that are running in the back ground. Windows has to close each before the system can shut down. To see just what is running in the back ground. Allow windows to completly finish opening. Click the start button, click run. In the window type, msconfig & click ok. System Configuration Utility window will open. Click on the Startup tab. Now you can see just what programs are running in the back ground.
Adding memory can also help speed up a slow pc & keeping the system clean by using the two programs listed next.
First. Run disk cleanup, a windows program found in system tools. Than run Defrag also found in system tools. Restart the pc when finished. This should help your system to run a bit better.
If you have the CD that came with the sound card uninstall the software through Add/ Remove programs found in the control panel. Restart the pc. Reinstall the drivers from the CD & try opening a few programs. Open & run the program your using to play music. Any better? If not try using another music program like iTunes a free download found here. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
You can also try the drivers from creative they may be newer than your CD here: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/welcome.asp?action=next
Enjoy!
