Question about Cameras

Open Question

I have a Samsung L100. Its only a couple of months old and its never been dropped or damaged. When I turn it on, the power button turns blue, the lens opens, then it beeps two or three times and the shuts down - except that the blue light stays on. You can't use it and it you can't turn it off all the way without pulling the battery out. The screen doesn't light up or anything. The camera is totally useless now. I've found a few reviews online that say theirs do the same thing. Is there anyway to fix it?

SOURCE: three beeps when i try to turn it on

i had the same problem a while back. I fooled around with my camera lens a bit and it turned out that one side of the lens was sticking out a bit. I pressed down on this and pushed the power button and it worked. The next time I turned it on the same thing happened but if you keep doing the same thing it should work.

Hope this helps!

If the lens is retracted, hold up the camera to your eye and look at the lens. If you see one end sticking out a little bit, push that side in and press the power button. It should work.
If the lens isn't retracted, push the lens around until it is in its regular position. When you press the power button, it will retract and come out again and should work fine.

Hope this advice helps!

SOURCE: turn camera on, lens goes in and out then camera shuts off

Is it possible that at one time, the camera automatically powered off to save the battery. In this state, the press of any button starts it back up again. If while in this state, you put the camera in a case and the lens tried to open, the force may have caused your problem.

I reset my surge protector and the computer wont power up. i think i need a new power supply. the power cord is working fine. Please let me know where i can find a power supply for the aspire...

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Samsung's have notorious problems with their lens-cap shutters malfunctioning. This seems to be the case with yours. It will have to be serviced, I'm afraid.

copy all the pictures/files saved in your memory card to your PC then format the card, you can format the card by going to MENU > SET UP > FORMAT
