Question about Deep Fryers
Light comes on but element will not heat. No circuit on temperature Thermostat.
Do I need to order a new temp thermostat or could it be the element itself?

What kind of fryer are you working on? American Range only manufactures commercial gas fryers. An American Range fryer thermostat is designed to work with a thermopile and a millivolt gas valve, 1500 mV maximum and almost no amperage. The American range thermostat is part number A50400. I can't find any reference to Model E-289 associated with American Range. The only residential products they make are ranges, cooktops, and wall ovens.
