I have the cable. I use BitPim on my Mac because no other software works. Verizon has NO software and claims that the only way to get photos off is to send them to their website. I have bought 3 different cables and NONE transfers photos.
Didn't you get the software CD (PC Suite) when you bought your cellphone? PC Suite, Data Cable, Headphones, all come as free accessories. If you don't have it, download the PC Suite of your phone model and use the file transfer option. Alternately move the photos to your memory card, take out the memory card and insert it in a card reader. Connect to USB port and move the photos to a drive or folder in your pc. You can use copy-paste or cut-paste (to free your phone memory).
i think u cant find the sophisticated softwares pertaining to samsung in the net . So do a thing . get a bluetooth device connected to ur pc. Install the necessary drives for the bluetooth device . now switch on the bluetooth in ur phone ,,,, and transfer ur pictures via bluetooth

give the location "drv folder" inside p2k tools.. then just go p2k mode

to download music to your phone just connect the usb cable you got with the phone to the phone and the PC. The pc should then detect it as a hard drive and in my computer it should come up as a new drive. open the drive and there is a mp3 folder and just simply drag and drop the music to it. same for the pictures but to the picture folder.
