Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I continually get a "scanner failure" message on my display. Obviously, turning off and restarting the machine does nothing (as if this were ever any kind of solution), in fact, replacing the mother board in the machine did nothing... same message, same problem, same issue.... $ and time down the drain replacing the board. Borderline on being more practical to toss the POS out in the trash. Is there a quick, inexpensinve fix??

The Printer will start the "ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS". Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.
If it did not print out a diagnostic page:
  1. Is the error message still being displayed on the printer?
  2. Print a self test page to check the functionality of the printer.
  3. Press Setup menu on the All-in-One then scroll using the arrow key and select Print Report then select Self Test Report.

After I replaced toner, it continues to process "check toner". And now it says "toner is low" with the new cartridge intstalled.

Try turning it off and unplugging the fax machine. If you are receiving this error message on your pc, then it should be unplugged and restarted too.

THERE'S GOT TO BE A SOLUTION TO MY LAPTOP PROBLEM,I KEEP GETTING THIS MESSAGE, "THE COMPUTER RESTARTED UNEXPECTEDLY OR AN UNEXPECTED ERROR. WINDOWS INSTALLATION CANNOT PROCEED TO INSTALL WINDOWS,...

The problem is caused by a damaged Windows installation CD.
There are some files that cannot be read from CD, so Windows gets stuck.
It tries to restart to continue with installation, and keeps doing this on an endless loop.

Solution:
Get a goos Windows Installation CD and start from scratch, (format and load the new copy of Windows)

My Hp Laserjet M1120 MFP showing message "Scanner Error 6"

switch off the printer, then remove all cables connecting to the printer but just the power cable.
-then press and hold the *(start/symoble) and 5 button togather and turn on the printer.
-continue holding the button till you see "perment storage init" displayed and releas the button.
-then at a given point of time the printer will ask you to change laguage, time, date etc.
if this does not sort the issue service is required

this is work on 3055
so i think this work on your printer

The LCD screen keep displaying "Printing" but

I have seen this so many times I thought I would post an answer on this so you can repair your Brother MFC series machine that says printing and will not function. Using this procedure will save you from having to call out a service technician. Any time your machine says "printing" and will not do anything simply turn off the power. Now hold down the red clear/stop button WHILE turning the power back on. Continue holding the clear key for a few seconds then release. Your "printing" message should be gone and your machine should be back at the ready screen.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya!

It's a bit techy but you can at least start there.
