It is possible that the card thickness is to big for the printer to "pull" the card in. try using a thiner card, giving a small **** of the card to assist the printer while "pulling" the card, or try cleaning the small wheel it has in the paper drawer for pulling paper with amonia.

1. May be the SD card is corrupt or faulty. 2. Try to format the card and then use it. 3. Try to use a different compatible card. 4. If new card doesn't work then most probably your device is faulty.
If it attempts to feed and expecially when you hear a cricking sound. It means that the paper guide it too tighten that it holds the paper. Try to loose up the paper tray guide. Are you using a paper tray. If not, put small paper or change the correct setting of the paper size setting to auto detect if any.
The paper feed wheel (located in the front just inside where the paper tray goes) could be missing, broken, or the clutch that drives it could be bad. I'm not sure this will work but try to look at the wheel with the tray removed, and print a page, see if it rolls.
First of all turn the printer off & disconnect all of the cables. Turn it over and give it a shake, you'll be amazed at what gets inside the feed hopper. Next try a stiff piece of A4 card (the backing from an A4 notepad for instance), feed the card into the paper feed and push it through quite hard to overcome the spring resistence. Once it has started to go through open the lid and check if it has pushed anything through the rollers. Feed the card all the way through the mech and pull out of the front. Hopefully the card will have cleared the paper path of any objects and reseated the sensors.
Good luck.
If there printer is not able to print on card stock then check the recommend card stock paper thickness, if the printer works with normal paper but not card stock then there is problem in the card stock and by using this paper may also damage the rollers on the printer and make the printer useless ...

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps.Bud
I looked up the user guide at Dell's website and looked up printing cards.
The print side of the cards faces down.
The cards are centered on the paper exit tray.
You select Automatic, Normal, or Photo print quality.
Apparently you need to feed the card stock one page at a time into the printer on TOP of the paper exit try (The card stock will feed in from above the normal paper load try [remove paper from the paper tray] and once printed come back to the same spot.
hi, CANON PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer has few common problems. Such as Driver CD lost, Scanner does not work, Connection problem etc. For find all these software solution just click here....
Very pesty!!! Ok, it may be a paper feeder issue. It could be a partially jammed roller or carriage, open up unit as if you were to change cartridge, use a torch to check for the tiniest paper block or foreign material. You would be surprised what can fall or accidenatlly get in them...funny that, i just cleared a tiny piece of toddler debris from my lexmark, and i missed it the first time. Also, paper sensors can start to go and die, hope it is not this!!! as it will need replacing if it is. If it is printing, it may also be too much info from pc to printer. Does it only do this at certain times or all the time? Try clearing the print jobs memory by printing a small document but click on print icon and choose cancel all print jobs. Wait until it does. Try printing again. Also open notepad as if you were to print it, right click on file and print, and check if printer says ready...indicating it is functioning status. this can help diagnose problems sometimes it will give you an error code or message you need.
