Do a recovery at boot up. You are missing drivers or parts of the programs that run the devices.

I have Logitech 4000 camera and all 5years it works excellent. I use it more times on Skipe with Window Pro. Now I have Window7 and every time, when I use Skipe Ican have only one video call. When I try...

You are right - the camera is not supported by logitech for Windows 7 and I am surprised that you have some level of use with it.
A couple of things you can try -
1) Instead of restarting your computer just unplug the webcam for a few seconds and then plug it back in.
(This will re-boot the webcam software) the same as restarting the computer)
2) Do a quick check running the webcam in Compatibility Mode
Right click on the webcam icon on your desktop or the webcam file from 'All Programs' - select 'Properties'
Select the 'Compatibility' tab
Select 'Compatibility Mode'
Use the dropbox to show the OS you have successfully used before
Click OK
Restart your computer

The microphone on my HP pro webcam won't work. When I test it, it just buzzes. I tried changing the sound on my computer control panel and on skype but neither work

This could be caused by many things including that the microphone itself has either stopped working or if you just purchased the unit it may be defective. but it can also be caused by a improper installation in windows itself.
to reinstall the camera please follow the steps outlined below.

First step i would unplug the camera and uninstall the current drivers.
2nd i would follow this link to Hp's website where you can download the latest HP pro webcam driver/software. 3rd after downloading the software do not plug the camera in and restart your computer. 4th. After your computer has restarted and all the normal startup processes are running. Open the newly downloaded drivers for the HP pro camera. install the camera. After the installation is done then you can proceed to plugin the camera. Unless you were prompted to at a specific time during the installation.
After that you should be done and it should be installed and working.
If the microphone on the webcam is still not working it is most likely that the microphone itself has stopped working. If you just bought the unit you should return it for an exchange. If the product is still under warranty you should contact Hp and get it fixed under warranty.
If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.

My webcam is not connected... how to connect my webcam.?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.

Things you need before connecting web camera;
• Webcam
• USB cord (usually mini)
• A PC(Personal Computer)
• Mouse
• Keyboard

Please follow the links below for connecting the web cam;
1. Make sure you have or buy a webcam. They are usually $20-$30.Make sure you have an open USB port on your PC.
2. Now Connect USB via Webcam. Then via PC.
3. Now you will then have a setup popup so if you have a popup block un block it now and restart your computer.
4. When computer it restarted you will do the setup. If the setup doesn't come up then check the connection and restart computer
5. Then when setup is completed then make sure your web cam is up on your computer very stedy. Then do a test before you do a conversation. This is usually to see if you would need any extra lighting or not.
6. Now enjoy webcam.I would recommend to keep your web cam connected so you wouldn't have to go though this again but if you cant then just reconnect and usually you would be ok.

Hope it works.

WEB CAM Fault

Normal 0 There are a number of things that can cause the camera to freeze up the computer.
First I’d check to see how much memory is installed in the computer. It takes additional memory to operate the camera.
Hope this helps. Bud

Restarts Computer

it sounds as if the driver is corrupt or is conflicting with another driver. The best thing to do would be to uninstall the driver for the cam, i assume that will be listed in the add/remove programmes and disconnect the web cam, restart the pc and dissable firewall and anti virus programmes and re install the driver cd rom, whether you use the software that is with it is upto you. Re connect the web cam when prompted but use a different usb port if you have a spare one and try again.
