I have a 4GB sd card for my e310 but when I put the card in the PDA, it won't read it. Do e310s not take 4GB cards?

The e310 Chipset is SD only, and so does not support SDHC for more then 2GB. You may try non-standard, non-SDHC 4GB cards which are out of specification for SD, but work in "some" SD enabled devices. Depends on device-software...
