Question about Toshiba PDR-3310 Digital Camera

Unable to install Driver on my WIN XP

Inherited this PDR-3310 from my daughter- it appears to work but i have tried & tried again to install the driver. I have read & re-read the instructions dozens of times...after many tries i then had a problem removing the disk- i had to turn off and restart the pc to get the disk to come out...this is sooo frustrating! I'm fairly intelligent about these simple installs but no luck here..i have a Dell 8400 w/ WIN XP home ed.
PLEASE HELP!

try a different computer... right click on my computer from desktop and goto properties, then click on the hardware tab, then device manager and see if your usb ports on your computer have a yellow question mark on them, if they do the problem is with you computer and not the camera.

I would try it on another computer first and see if there is any difference, if it still doesn't work you could buy a usb card reader off of amazon for super cheap, and then take the mem card out, put in usb card reader and copy over to computer that way.

Otherwise you may have to replace camera, or have your computer repaired.

I have Windows 7 and it my daughters hello kitty photo booth (digital camera kit) said that it would only support up to VISTA which I had until I upgraded.....how can I get this to work on my Windows 7?

Have you tried installing it on Win 7? Most software made for vista will run fine on Win 7. Otherwise you can try running the program in "XP Compatability Mode". You can do this by right clicking the installation file (or if installed already, the shortcut you use to open the program) and click properties. Then click the Compatability tab and check "run this program in compatability mode for:" and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Good Luck

Tip

Worked like a champ! My PDR-3310 was locked up (open) and wouldn't respond to...

Surprisingly enough, most freezing problems (and other problems, too) can be solved by gently hitting your camera. It works! Just remember to be gentle.

Need cd rom for toshiba Digital still camera model PDR-M60

I have that same camera along with the installation cd, but I haven't used it in a long time. I ran across it today and tried to get some pictures off the card but I can't get it to work with this computer which has XP MCE sp3 on it. I guess I need new driver for xp but can't find where I can download it. What operation system do you have?

I cant install my daugther's Hannah Pix Micro

Hi Odalys,
Try this solution that was previously posted on FixYa:
______________________________________________________
My daughter just received one of these camera's for her 6th birthday and is extremely excited. I am running Windows XPand was getting the "No pictures on camera" error. I tried downloadingthe drivers for this but that did not work. Here is what I did to getthe camera working:

1) Connect the camera with the provided USB cable.
2) Download the latest driver from the Digital Blue web site: http://digiblue.com/customer-service/downloads/index.html, select the "The Disney Pix Micro Drivers for WIN ME, 2000, XP"
3) Install this driver, this will not enable the camera to work yet.
4) After this driver has installed, go to Control Panel
5) Select System
6) Select the Hardware tab
7) Select Device Manager
8) Find the device in the list (mine said "USB Digital Still Camera"),will probably have the yellow exclamation mark on it saying that it isnot working.
9) Double click the device
10) Select "Reinstall Driver" from the General tab
11) When asked if Windows can connect to Windows Update to search for software, select "Yes, this time only" and click Next.
12) Choose "Install the software automatically" and click Next.
13) You should get a message saying the driver for the "DB CIF Cam" hasnot passed the Windows Logo testing, select "Continue Anyway".
14) Click Finish.
15) The first time I did this, I needed to take a picture while the camera was connected to the PC.

After doing this I am able to download the pictures and everything works great.

I hope this helps.

Driver

If you are talking about the Agfa ePhoto CL18 Digital Camera, then you'll need drivers for the digital camera, not webcam drivers, but in a way, I use mine as a webcam sometimes, but using the drivers will only work for WIN95/98/98ME/98SE/WIN-XP etc. and the drivers won't work for WIN-Vista as Agfa discontinued supporting digital cameras and flatbed scanners, so I actually made Recovery disks for my WIN-Vista, so I could put that back unto this computer, which came with WIN-Vista, and used my WIN-XP disks and installed WIN-XP unto the computer just so I could use the WIN-XP driver. When installing the driver there's an error message telling me that it can't update DCOM, or DCOM95, or it can't update DCOM to WIN98, or some sort of error message, but I just rebooted the computer and the install completed. Sometimes however, the computer "loses track" of the driver or something because sometimes, when I start the Corel Photo House software, which came with the camera, there's a message telling me that it can't find the camera and that I should make sure that the camera is connected and turned on for example, but I found that if I go into the "add hardware" section again, then try the automatic install again, but instead of letting "it" find the driver, I tell the installer to choose how or where to look, the driver that was installed will show up on a list, then after I click on that choice, then it installs correctly...In other words, the driver installs correctly after installing it the first time, with the CD, then installing it a second time using the computer's "list" of drivers, if you know what I mean by that...It's where you click on where you choose what hardware you want to install and get the list of available drivers, if you know where I'm talking about?
Good luck in getting it going.

Download for drivers for Vista

Sorry, but we are all screwed with the Toshiba PDR-3310. They discontinued the camera and never upgraded to Vista so if you can even find a fix for the XP version, good luck. It seems that Toshiba does not want to provide any assistance or customer service when it comes to their products that are older.

Card Error Message

1. Always choose reliable quality SD Cards. Toshiba Digital Cameras are tested for maximum performance with Toshiba SD Cards, Delkin SD Cards and Panasonic SD Cards. These are leading brands in the development of standard SD technology. Performance by other brands of SD cards may vary. 2. Check the LOCK switch on the SD Card. The camera can not save images to an SD Card when it is in the lock protected position. 3. If the SD Card is NEW, it may be necessary to FORMAT the card. This only applies to NEW SD Cards. If you format a card with images, all images will be erased. You can FORMAT your card periodically to maximize capacity and erase 'unseen' files, please be sure to download all images before choosing FORMAT as all images will be erased. 4. The Toshiba PDR-3310 is designed for use with SD Cards. MultiMedia Cards are similar in size and shape to SD Cards, although with close inspection you will find that SD Cards have a different 'PIN" connection configuration, are slightly thicker in size, and have a manual slide LOCK switch on the side. The PDR-3310 may work with some MultiMedia Cards, but is not designed or guaranteed to accept MultiMedia Cards. Please be sure to look for SD Cards from Toshiba, Panasonic and Delkin, the leaders in SD Card Technology.
