Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

When I put the washing machine (Hoover Six 1100) on it takes the water into the drum then nothing happens. There's a kind of clicking noise at the switch as if it's trying to do something. I have tried to start it on every programme without success.

Hiya
the problem with your washing machine seems to be that once the water has entered the machine it is not going on to turn the drum. This Probelm is that the carbon brushes on the motor are worn. If you remove the back panel you will see the motor at the bottom of the drum. remove the motor and and you will seee two black holders either side of it remover the screws from it and replace with new ones.

hope this helps please rate if it helps.

Cheers Washdoctor

Hoover performa 1100 ac110 not emptying

After syphoning water out of drum, remove and clean filter located at bottom front left of washer, if there is a screw in the filter cover, unscrew this first.
Remove filter by unscrewing anti-clockwise.

Hoover washing machine HF7160E

I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, and this at first sounds like motor carbons, the belt needs to be placed on from the bottom motor pulley first the onto the drum pulley last, not easy to describe in words, anyway start with the carbons, then if they ok there is a module (main PCB circuit board) normally on Hoover washes located top of machine inside front right corner in a plastic casing, look for burn marks. work safe with electrics, always unplug first
