Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
When my home phone rings if I don't get to it by the second ring it automacticly goes to my fax machine. The numbers are different. I have the setting on faxtel how do I get to faxtel-auto? When you get it to faxtel-auto what do you do next so you know it stays there?
Depending on the model and make of your machine, there should be an option under the fax settings of the setup menu that will allow you to either increase the number of rings before auto answer (I suggest that you increase it to at least 5 rings to give you time to answer) or that whilst you are available change the answer setting to phone. This will mean that you have to answer all calls but if there is an incoming fax (you will hear the high pitched beeeping sound) before you place the phone back on the hook press the start button.
This should solve your dilema.
