Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

No Network Printing

My boss purchased the HP p2015dn and we have installed it on our network following the intructions from the manufacturer...however, it will not print from any of the network computers...when we try to print the test page it says the document "failed to print" but there doesn't seem to be any reason why when we went through all the steps with the troubleshooter...and we have checked everything in the troubleshooting guide from HP. I called HP tech support this morning and was put on hold then told the warrenty had expired last year (we just bought the printer and a two-year extended warranty from Staples about 2 weeks ago). The woman on the phone refused to help us saying we would first have to send her "proof" that I was telling the truth about when we purchased the printer (both insulting and confusing because I wasn't asking for a repair or a refund--we just wanted to make sure it was installed properly). I faxed the receipts according to the intructions she sent via email and I still haven't heard back from her so I'm trying this site because this is a business and time is money...thanks in advance to anyone who can help us.

    Can't print from networked pc's to p2015dn networked printer. Checked everything, cables, network, print spooler, print server etc. No problem with any other networked printer only this one! I see others have problems with the printer also.

Without knowing what your complete printer configuration is this type of thing may be quite hard to diagnose - but first and foremost, are you absolutely sure that the printer's network cable is not defective - that the jack it is plugged into is active - and that you have a useable IP address set for the printer and that all remote computers are using that IP address?

Those are just some basics to check first.

HP Laserjet 2015dn (network printer) does not print. Cannot ping it's appointed address anymore, therefore cannot open a web page to it.


Remove and reinstall the printer in your control panel. If the network printer is online and available and the network at its location is not having access problems then this should solve the issue and allow you to resume printing again.

Make sure that your computer is still connected to the network correctly. Go to network connections from your desktop or through your control panel and see if it shows your computer connection as available without problems. If you find an issue in this area or your connection shows other problems, re post and clarify your findings and I will help you solve this issue right now.

Five computers networked with Linksys WRT320N router. Operating systems: Win 7.0 on 3 computers (two hardwired)(one laptop - wireless), Snow Leopard 10.8 on 1 (wireless), and XP on one (wireless). Also...


Sometimes this problem occures when you install a later model wireless router.
Try installing the latest Wireless card driver on the XP computer and the LAN card drivers on the other computers except the MAC.

TEST PAGE REFUSE TO PRINT ON MY HP LASERJET P2015DN PRINTER


It's a network printer. Are you connected via the network or USB? If you run the CD wizard and select the wrong option it will not print.

In either case, insert the CD, and select the proper method of connection (USB or network), it should see the printer, if it does not you have a problem, so check your cable connection (either rectangle thingy - USB, or Network - big phone jack). From there, make sure (especially in network mode) that the printer is configured properly.

Can HP 1410 printer support LAN.


HP 1410 is not a network printer. If you want network printing, you must purchase a printer that features network printing.

You can designate a pc to act as network server and plug printer into that server, and then print from another computer on the same network

HP P2015dn wirless connection stopped working


Hi,
There is not wireless netwrok card is HP LJ P2015dn, However as i can understand you r using External Wireless Router or Wireless network or jet-direct card if u r able to work fine on USB than printer printing mechanism is working fine.
If u connect the printer via wired network connection and it keeps on loosing IP address than it may be problem with onboard network card of the printer.
If printer keeps on loosing IP Address than try upgrading the firmware of the printer.
To check the firmware and IP Address of the printer print a configuration page by pressing and holding down green button for 6 to 7 seconds

P2015N - Printing Information pages after every job


Hello,

I hope that the printer is able to print internal test pages without any issue. However, if thats true then I can say that the printer as a standalone machine is working fine. Hopefully, the printer is connected over the network.

Hello,
Please perform the following:
If the printer is connected via network, unplug the network cable and perform cold reset.

Cold reset A cold reset changes most system parameters in NVRAM to the factory defaults. However, unlike NVRAM initialization, a cold reset does not reset the page count, the paper tray sizes, language, or formatter number.
A cold reset also resets all the HP Jetdirect settings as well as the printer settings. Use the following procedure to perform a cold reset.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Go button.
  3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the Go button for at least 5 seconds, but not longer than 15 seconds. During this process, the Attention LED turns on.
  4. Release the Go button.
    If both the Attention and the Ready LEDs turn on before you release the Go button, you must start the procedure again with step 1.
The printer's LEDs begin cycling. The cold-reset process runs until completion, and the printer returns to the ready state.


Then uninstall / delete the previous drivers and install the drivers from the following link:
